We love children at Forest City Bible Church and it is our goal to nurture their growth in a safe, caring environment.  To this end, we have implemented a Child Protection Policy to provide a framework for recruiting and training children's ministry workers to ensure a safe, positive, and meaningful experience for all children under our care.  Copies of our Child Protection Policy are available at the Welcome Centre at the church.

Our AWANA clubs are part of more than 90,000 AWANA clubs that operate around the world.    AWANA clubs have been operating for more than 55 years and in Canada for 30 years.  These community clubs are open to all youth and have children attending from many faiths and backgrounds.  While your child will not be required to attend other functions of the church, all the services and opportunities of the church are open to your family.

We want to cooperate with you in providing balanced social, physical, mental and spiritual activities for your child.  The weekly AWANA program is a Bible based ministry that consists of three parts, Game Time, Handbook Time (achievements) and Bible Time (includes Awards and singing).  We have trained and qualified volunteer adults and helpers in all our clubs.  We have a Child Protection Policy in place that must be adhered to by all leaders.

Please feel free to drop in any Wednesday evening or call the church at 473-5555 for more information.

Classes offer the opportunity to meet with other men and women to study God's word, and to share how it applies in our day to day lives.

Men's Class: Simon Peter was a follower like us - he wanted to be like Jesus, but he struggled with doubts, and at times failed.  At other times he was powerfully used by God.  This study of the life of Simon Peter will challenge and motivate us to continue to grow in Christ's likeness.

Ladies Class: Studying issues facing today's women and seeking God's wisdom week by week.

College & Careers: Studying issues of Honesty, Morality, and Conscience

Prayer Meeting

* When? Weekly on Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m.

Ladies' Bible Study

* What? We're studying "Growing Older and Wiser" by Dale & Sandy Larsen.  "Whether we consider ourselves 'young' or 'middle-aged' or 'senior citizens' or prefer no age label at all, we will grow wiser as we consider and apply the timeless truths of Scripture.  God has made us for Himself, and mere physical survival is not our highest goal.  No matter how many years we accumulate on this earth, we are offered His gift of eternal life in Christ.  May we spend our years here, whether few or many, growing wiser and becoming more like Him."
